The Disney College Program

What, exactly, is the Disney College Program?

Disney provides a program overview on their website, but I will summarize here.

The Disney College Program is a paid internship offered to college students. You can intern at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA, or at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. In addition to the internship, students have additional educational opportunities offered to them.

Your job is a 'front-line' job at the parks (custodial, food and beverage, parking, etc.), and you spend 28-35 hours per week working, depending on whether you are at Disneyland or Disney World.

As a participant in the program four hours per week are spent taking class. You can take advantage of several education opportunities they offer:

• Marketing You: Personal and Career Development
• Organizational Leadership
• Leadership Speaker Series
• Professional Development Study- The Business of Show Business
• Online Courses from your College or University

By the end of the internship, you can earn either your Mousters Degree, or your Ducktorate, depending on how much work you did, as well as your participation in the VoluntEARS program.
